Located in the heart of Toronto, this 400 sq. ft. interior renovation transformed a compact, outdated space into a vibrant, fully operational gluten-free bakery. The project required a complete overhaul to meet both functional demands and strict health and safety standards, while capturing the bakery’s playful brand identity. 

The renovation began with significant infrastructure upgrades, including a new electrical panel to support commercial-grade kitchen equipment and improved energy efficiency. To comply with fire safety regulations and accommodate the revised layout, the ceiling and wall assemblies were restructured and re-rated to meet updated fire code requirements. 

The front-of-house space greets customers with an eclectic and colorful interior design, featuring warm tones, whimsical details, and inviting displays that highlight the bakery’s 100% gluten-free offerings. Custom millwork and open shelving display an array of freshly baked goods, creating a welcoming environment that celebrates artisanal quality and health-conscious indulgence.
